What happens when a high-impact designer known for her whirlwind surprise makeovers partners with a luxury stone brand?
A reveal worth the wait.
If you know Galey Alix, you know she doesn’t do anything halfway. The finance exec-turned-viral design sensation is known for her weekend-long home transformations, where she and her team descend on a space with just 72 hours to reimagine it, and the homeowners don’t see a single detail until the final reveal. No peeking. No input. Just trust. And the results? Always breathtaking.

So when Galey visited our Fort Lauderdale showroom to source materials for her next big surprise, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. She explored our full slab gallery, zeroing in on one of our most sought-after stones: Taj Mahal Leather Quartzite. With its warm tones and subtle veining, it was the perfect fit for her vision; organic, timeless, and elevated.

The client? NFL fullback Kyle Juszczyk and Kristin Juszczyk, designer and founder of the sportswear brand Off Season. After bonding on Instagram, Galey flew out to California to take on a renovation of the couple’s kitchen, primary bath, living room, and bedroom – all done under her signature element of total surprise.

But let’s talk about the final product.
When Galey unveiled the final space, the transformation was jaw-dropping. She used our Taj Mahal Leather Quartzite in some seriously inventive ways:
A full-height kitchen backsplash that wraps the entire kitchen perimeter and is paired with matching island and countertops, giving the space a seamless, cohesive look.

An arched Taj Mahal quartzite doorway, a floating vanity, and a shower bench that transformed the primary bath into a serene retreat.
Curious about the floor tile? That would be our Bianco Luna Limestone.

Kristin and Kyle’s previous kitchen had an awkward island shape and minimal seating. Galey’s redesign fixed that, doubling the seating and centering the space around a large island perfect for gathering post-game or hosting family. The soft matte finish of the leathered stone added depth without gloss, perfect for the “Pacific cozy” vibe Galey envisioned.

So there you have it,
a bold renovation that didn’t just turn heads in the design world, but landed in People magazine while it was at it.
