About Mutina Dintorni
Created in collaboration with Inga Sempé, Mutina Dintorni is a collection of bright porcelain tiles that can be divided into two distinct families. The “Patterns” are a set of optical tiles that feature bright colors and unique patterns that encourage experimentation. And “Isola” are illustrated tiles that tell an abstract story. These two distinct groupings are surprisingly, brought into one collection that allows for the endless potential of discovery through design.
“In creating Dintorni, I wanted to surprise myself. I set out to represent worlds that have no connection to each other except for their estrangement. My goal was to explore the edges of what I know and give shape to what I had yet to discover. Because at any moment, you can see something new – something different from what you’ve seen before.”
